    A great poetry assignment.

    November 8th, 2011 by admin

My 9-year-old daughter came home from school yesterday was an interesting assignment from her teacher. The class is learning about rhyming words and poetry. The kids have been assigned to write their own poems, but to keep things interesting, each kid picked out the subject for his poem from a hat. Some of the kids got  the subject of specific animals. Others received the topic of holidays. My daughter received the assignment of thank you poems. She said she got the best subject of all. When I asked her why, she told me it’s because she has the most things of anyone in her class to be thankful for.
